MIT/GNU Scheme is a free, open-source implementation of the Scheme programming language, originating at MIT and maintained within the GNU Project. It combines an interactive REPL with an integrated compiler, a garbage-collected runtime, and robust development tools, including a debugger, profiler, object inspector, and the Edwin editor (an Emacs-like, text-based environment). The system implements the R5RS standard along with many useful extensions and libraries, making it well suited for teaching, research, scripting, and building larger applications. It primarily targets modern Unix-like systems and comes with comprehensive documentation.

MIT/GNU Scheme is developed by GNU Project. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 7.7, 9.0 and 9.1. The name of the program executable file is mit-scheme.exe.

You can check GNU Prolog, PLT Scheme, GNU Common Lisp and other related programs like GNU Pascal at the "download" section.
